Goalscorer Lamela pays tribute to superb Lloris after 1-0 West Ham win

Spurs picked up a valuable three points at London Stadium today with a 1-0 win over West Ham United.

Goalscorer, Erik Lamela, spoke of his recent return to action after missing out on a lot of playing time over the last year due to injury.

“I am feeling well, fortunately, Iโ€™m feeling good and my hips are good. I was injured a lot and now Iโ€™m feeling good and enjoying the moment. Iโ€™m happy as this is three more points for us.โ€™โ€™ Lamela told the BBC.

Lamela was quick to sing the praises of Spurs’ goalkeeper and club captain, Hugo Lloris, after the French international’s heroics in goals today.

“Hugo Lloris did really well and Iโ€™m happy for him. The second half was hard for us and West Ham pushed us a lot but we always stayed in the game.โ€ He added.

Spurs have been quietly going about their business, this season. Mauricio Pochettino is sure to be delighted with the fact that they are now level on points with Chelsea.

Most media coverage so far has been focused on the early form of Chelsea under new boss, Maurizio Sarri, aswell as pre-season favourites Liverpool and Man City. This has suited Spurs and Pochettino just fine and they have gone on to make their best ever start to a Premier League season. They have amassed one more point after 9 games than they had at the same stage, last season.
