Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette put in a man of the match performance earlier today as the Gunners won their second Premier League game in a row, defeating Cardiff City 3-2 in South Wales.
Unai Emery’s were twice pegged back by Neil Warnock’s newly promoted team, until with 10 minutes to go the hugely impressive Lacazette blasted home from inside the box to seal victory for Arsenal.
It was the France internationals first start of this Premier League season and he admitted afterward that he was happy to prove to his coach that he deserves a place in the Gunners starting XI.
“For me, it was important to start well. I wanted to prove to the coach that I can be in the first 11, I think I did that and I’m happy.” He told Sky Sports.
