Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has issued a rallying call ahead of his sides top of the table clash against Liverpool on Thursday night at the Etihad.
The reigning Premier League Champions got back to winning ways earlier today by beating Southampton 3-1 at St.Mary’s, with Pep Guardiola’s side having previously lost three of the last four top-flight games.
City currently sit in second place, seven points behind leaders Liverpool and Kompany has called on everybody associated with the club to ‘give it to’ Jurgen Klopp’s side when they meet on Thursday evening.
“The same as always, we want to win. It is one of those key games you live for,” Kompany told Sky Sports.
“Every living soul that comes into the stadium on Thursday has to be ready to fight and give it to them, and we should be able to pull everything out of the locker for that game.”
