Klopp looking forward to meeting ‘character’ Warnock

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking forward to his first encounter with Neil Warnock on Saturday.

The Reds welcome Cardiff City to Anfield for their Premier League fixture this weekend. Speaking to the media, Klopp highlighted his anticipation of meeting up with the Bluebirds experienced manager.

“It will be a big pleasure to meet him,’’ the German said at his pre-match press conference.

”Maybe not in the 90 minutes but before and after. He looks like a character, a very emotional and lively person. He looks like a very demanding manager, and always has my respect.”

Liverpool will be looking to keep pace with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League. City travel to face Spurs in what should be a tightly-contested game on Monday night.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager’s charges will hope to have a three-point lead over Pep Guardiola’s team, by that stage.

Cardiff City arrive at Anfield in 17th position, just three points ahead of bottom-side Newcastle United. However, the Bluebirds did pick up their first league win of the season last weekend having overcome fellow newly-promoted team Fulham in a 4-2 thriller in Wales.
