Liverpool face Everton at Anfield in the Premier League this Sunday.
Reds’ boss, Jurgen Klopp, has said that this is the best Everton team he will have faced. He knows that his team are in for a very tough afternoon as they look to keep within touching distance of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
“Silva has the best squad [of all the Everton managers he has faced]. It is the best-tuned squad,” Klopp told his pre-match press conference.
Klopp is expecting a battle in the derby but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Analyse Everton and then tell me it will be an easy game. It will be a proper fight but we expect that in the derby. That’s how derbies should be.” He added.
Everton have only lost one game in their last six, going down 2-1 at Manchester United. They have won four of those six games and the other match was an impressive 0-0 draw The Toffees achieved at Chelsea just before the last international break.
After some initial teething problems, Marco Silva now has a good idea of his first eleven every week and he has made them very tough to beat.
It will be up to Klopp’s Reds to overcome this obstacle if they are to keep the pressure on Pep Guardiola’s City team at the top.
