Jurgen Klopp has provided injury updates for several members of Liverpool’s squad as they prepare to face Burnley this weekend.
Liverpool currently trail Premier League leaders Manchester City by just a single point and will be looking for victory when they host Sean Dyche’s side at Anfield on Sunday. The Reds form has been inconsistent of late, drawing four of their past six league fixtures.
Klopp could be boosted by the return of several first-team players in the coming weeks though, with defenders Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez nearing full fitness.
“Dejan [Lovren] trained yesterday completely normally for the first time,” Klopp told his pre-match press conference.
“Joe [Gomez] is now running with 100% of his weight and that looks good.
“Most of the problems will be sorted probably after the international break but Dejan we have to see because he’s been out for a while. He is not injured anymore but how fit he is we need to say.
“Rhian [Brewster] is in a really good way and a place where Ox was three weeks ago probably.
“Milly [James Milner] everything heals quicker but still three days to go, he trained yesterday with the rehab coach and if you asked him he will say he is ready.
“Jordan [Henderson] is fine.”
