Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he is looking forward to pitting his wits against Barcelona as Liverpool look to make it two Champions League finals out of two.
It has been a sensational season for Liverpool, who, having moved to the top of the Premier League, now have an excellent opportunity of making it to a second successive Champions League Final after progressing to the last-four with a 4-1 win over Porto.
Goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk rounded off the scoring in the 6-1 aggregate victory, although speaking after the game, Jurgen Klopp described the game as a whirlwind.
“We played better this season. It was always going to be a whirlwind here and that was what it was,” he told BT Sport.
“Second half the energy level dropped for Porto and we could control the game and score the goals.
“We are more experienced, that is clear. We had difficult away games and we knew it would be the same as at City and Roma last year. It is all good. A difficult game but we go to the semi-finals.
“It is first time for me to play Barcelona, apart from in friendlies. I am looking forward to that.”
