Jurgen Klopp is not resting on his laurels in the title race as Liverpool prepare to face Leicester City at Anfield.
Following Manchester City’s loss against Newcastle United on Tuesday night, the opportunity for Liverpool to open up a seven point gap in the Premier League table has arisen.
The German manager is not concerned by the form of his rivals however, insisting that the Reds have to play to their best abilities from now until the end of the season if they want to taste success.
With the title race so finely poised, Klopp alluded to the fact that the league is more interesting this season with every game mattering that bit more:
“It looks like it will be more exciting than last year, so that is good for football in general and for the Premier League,” Klopp told his pre-match press conference.
“I would guess it will go right to the end of the season, I don’t see any possible gaps.
“We have to be flawless as well, everybody has to be.”
