Liverpool’s front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah are widely regarded as one of the most lethal attacking units in World Football at the moment.
Despite their obvious attacking talents, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he is just as happy with the hard work the talented trio put in defensively for the team.
However, the German coach also rejected suggestions that Mane, Firmino, and Salah are in competition to see who can score the most goals this season.
“They don’t count the goals of the other guy. They enjoy playing together and that’s very good.’’ Klopp told the press ahead of his sides away game against Crystal Palace on Monday night.
“I love the possibility that we can bring other players in with similar qualities.
“It’s not about having a competition, it’s about working together. That’s obvious.
“I don’t think they are bothered about specific numbers of goals. They just want to win football games.
“They like the way we play and they get the benefit of that. They give a lot of things back to the team in their defensive work. You cannot win football games if they don’t like to work.”
