Jurgen Klopp has said that he was completely happy with his Liverpool side after they efficiently took apart Fulham in their Premier League clash at Anfield this afternoon.
Liverpool went into the game as heavy odds-on favourites to grab the win against the Premier League strugglers, and were expected to score an absolute hat full against the worst defence in the division.
However, while they grabbed the three points that temporarily took to the top of the league, the 2-0 scoreline may have come as somewhat of a surprise. However, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp was not at all bothered, with the German saying he was ‘completely happy’ with the manner of the victory.
“In a few moments it was tough,” Klopp told reporters. “We were surprised by their lineup. It was clear their approach. Mitrovic was outstanding but we played really well.
“I’m completely happy. Apart from scoring more goals. It was really good from us. We had to work hard.
“I saw the Fulham goal once. Was it offside? Against Arsenal we scored a clearer goal and didn’t get it. We cannot change it. The reaction was brilliant from us.
Mitrovic (second from the end) was flagged for offside after thinking he put Fulham ahead.
One minute later, Liverpool score through Salah…
