Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, sees his team face Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea on Saturday in the Premier League. It will be the second meeting between the sides in the space of three days.
Klopp was asked for his thoughts on Liverpool‘s Carabao Cup exit at the hands of The Blues, at Anfield.
โItโs not cool. Itโs not what we want. We shouldnโt be surprised when things like that happen against a really strong side when you donโt use your chances.โโ The German told his pre-match press conference.
โIt always gives a chance to the other team.
โWe are competitive. Thatโs what we have to show again.”
Both managers made big changes to their starting lineups, on Wednesday night. First-team regulars such as Eden Hazard, Jorginho, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah all started on the bench. Of course, Hazard came on late in the game to win it for Chelsea.
โThe Chelsea game was a very interesting game. We needed time to adapt without the ball. It felt like things werenโt comfortable.
โIt was because of little, little details. It was a big challenge for the boys.
โI was happy with how we adapted in the end. But still, we lost. Itโs not a problem, that can happen.
โThe result is the most important thing, but performance is also important especially for analysis. It was interesting to see how we adapted in such a short time.โ
