Klopp gives his thoughts on midweek loss to Chelsea

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, sees his team face Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea on Saturday in the Premier League. It will be the second meeting between the sides in the space of three days.

Klopp was asked for his thoughts on Liverpool‘s Carabao Cup exit at the hands of The Blues, at Anfield.

โ€œItโ€™s not cool. Itโ€™s not what we want. We shouldnโ€™t be surprised when things like that happen against a really strong side when you donโ€™t use your chances.โ€™โ€™ The German told his pre-match press conference.

โ€œIt always gives a chance to the other team.

โ€œWe are competitive. Thatโ€™s what we have to show again.”

Both managers made big changes to their starting lineups, on Wednesday night. First-team regulars such as Eden Hazard, Jorginho, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah all started on the bench. Of course, Hazard came on late in the game to win it for Chelsea.

โ€œThe Chelsea game was a very interesting game. We needed time to adapt without the ball. It felt like things werenโ€™t comfortable.

โ€œIt was because of little, little details. It was a big challenge for the boys.

โ€œI was happy with how we adapted in the end. But still, we lost. Itโ€™s not a problem, that can happen.

โ€œThe result is the most important thing, but performance is also important especially for analysis. It was interesting to see how we adapted in such a short time.โ€
