Klopp admits interest in Pulisic

Jurgen Klopp has admitted to having an interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic.

Klopp has been linked with a move for the American international, having worked with him during his time as Borussia Dortmund manager.

This summer has been no different, with Liverpool being one of a number of clubs thought to be interested in his service, as well as Manchester United.

Liverpool have been one of the biggest spending sides in Europe this summer, spending well over £160 million, including making Alisson Becker the worlds most expensive ‘keeper in the world.

They have however been disappointed in their chase of Nabil Fekir, and with the Reds due to play Dortmund in the USA in the International Champions Cup, Klopp Klopp was asked about the reported interest in Pulisic:

“He has a contract at Dortmund, no? That’s the first problem,” Klopp told a press conference in the USA.

“I like Christian, I’ve known him since he was a kid. He’s still not really old, he’s a fantastic player, and it’s deserved people think highly of him in America.

“In Germany it’s the same. If he wants to play in England or whatever one day then for sure he has the chance to do so but he’s at a really good club for his development at this moment.

“It’s really good to be at a club where they know him already.”
