Klopp admits he ‘would think about’ taking Germany job

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed he would have to seriously consider an offer from the German FA to take over the national team – but only if he was available.

Klopp has proved himself to be one of the best coaches in World football during his time at Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool respectively.

Last season in the Premier League, Klopp had his Liverpool side playing some of the most exciting and swashbuckling football in the country, as well as steering the Reds on a most unexpected trip to the Champions League final.

However, following Germany’s dismal showing at this summer’s World Cup where they were knocked out of the group stages, Klopp has been quizzes on whether he would be interested in taking over from Joachim Low:

“Should I be asked at some point and I’m available, then I would think about it,” he told German outlet Welt am Sonntag.

“But am I thinking about it right now, in my current situation being tied to Liverpool for the next four years and only because Germany have just played a bad World Cup?

“No. I’m not available.”
