This season’s kits have barely been worn in, and will still be flying off the shelves in time for Christmas, but rumours of Manchester United’s away kit for next season have certainly captured the attention.
United usually alternate between a white, blue or black away shirt, with only very rare exceptions to this design policy from the Red Devils. However, rumours today suggest that next season could be one of those rare exceptions with the club potentially set to play in PINK!
Yes, that’s right, pink. Certainly not your most traditional footballing colour in England at least, but it could be on the cards for United next year.
The shirt, well more specifically the colour of it, is inspired by the “Football Pink” newspaper, which was the footballing pages of the Manchester Evening News back in the day, which as the name suggests, was printed on pink paper.

United are no strangers to having designs which relate to historic things from the City of Manchester, for example their famous checked 2012/13 shirt, which was a throwback to Manchester famous cotton producing era of days gone by.
The guys from Footy Headlines have also mocked up a kit to show what it could look like.
