Key Liverpool duo Mohammed Salah and Philippe Coutinho are both doubts for Friday’s Merseyside Derby according to Jurgen Klopp.
The attacking pair were forced out of Liverpool’s dramatic late win against Burnley on Monday, and could be missing again in their crucial FA Cup third round clash at the weekend.
After the 2-1 win at Turf Moor, Klopp confirmed that Salah and Coutinho were doubtful.
“Phil are Mo are injured, not massively but enough for today [to have] no chance.
“And [they are] a doubt, at least a doubt, for Everton.”
There were suggestions before the game against Burnley that Coutinho had been excluded due to the speculation surrounding his future. Kit manufacturer Nike made a huge blunder over the weekend, accidentally seeming to announce his move to Barcelona, before Liverpool have even agreed a deal with the Catalan club.
