Kepa insists Chelsea have a ‘bright future’ under Sarri

Kepa Arrizabalaga insists Chelsea have a ‘bright future’ under manager Maurizio Sarri.

The Italian has endured a difficult first season in charge at Stamford Bridge, with several of the club’s fans having vocally displayed their unhappiness with his methods.

Chelsea are currently embroiled in a four-way fight to secure the final two Champions League places, whilst they will also face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League semi-finals next month.

Kepa, who was signed for a world-record fee for a goalkeeper by Sarri last summer, insists the club are headed in the right direction under the former Napoli boss.

”He’s a manager who has clear ideas in how he wants to play, how he wants his team to pressure and how he wants his team to behave on the pitch, and he gets his ideas across to the players,” Kepa told Chelsea’s official website.

”At first it was difficult to adapt them to a new league, difficult for him but also difficult for the players, but I think we have a bright future and we’re very together in wanting to achieve our final objective.”
