Martin Keown admits he is ‘concerned’ for Arsenal’s Europa League progress, despite seeing his former side beat Napoli 2-0 in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
Goals from Aaron Ramsey and a Kalidou Koulibaly own goal sealed an impressive 2-0 win for Unai Emery’s side at the Emirates, giving the North London side a healthy advantage heading into the second leg in Italy next week.
Keown, who spent 13 years at the club over two spells, says despite the win he remains ‘concerned’ with the club missing several chances to kill off the tie.
“I’m concerned. They had chances to make it safe and they didn’t. That’s the worry,” Keown told BT Sport.
“It will now be very interesting to see what tactics Emery employs in the away leg now.
“Does he go with the same team, we played really well tonight? Napoli didn’t cash in but they may well done next week.
“So does he change things up and tighten up in certain areas?
“It’s a big call but I do feel to go through they are going to need to get a goal over there.”
