Karanka expecting ‘really tough’ Stoke clash

Nottingham Forest boss Aitor Karanka is expecting a difficult test when his side host Stoke City at the City Ground tomorrow.

Stoke have not lost in three games, but find themselves in 15th after 16 games of the Championship season.

Despite the fact Forest have lost just twice so far this campaign, Karanka is expecting a tough task when his side face the Potters.

“It will be really tough and we had the experience in the cup, when we were winning 3-0 and everyone thought the game was over. Then they almost equalised the game so they have a very good squad and a very good manager.’’ Karanka told his pre-match press conference.

“Our biggest mistake will be to underestimate them, because they have a lot of experienced players and a good coach.

“I think they will be near the top at the end of the season because it is difficult for every single team, when you are relegated, to settle into the Championship. But they are improving and if the manager has the time, they will do well.”
