Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has maybe dropped a hint that he would be interested in a move back to France after declaring that ‘Paris is home’.
The France international has been an absolute sensation in the Premier League during his three years to date, winning two Premier League titles and the FA Cup.
His energy an dynamism in midfield have seen him credited as being one of the key components to the success he has enjoyed during his time at Leicester and Chelsea respectively.
However, despite winning the FA Cup this season, it has been a disappointing campaign for Kante and his Chelsea teammates, who finished in fifth place in the Premier League, crucially, outside the Champions League qualifying spots.
This disappointment has seen recent reports suggesting that French Champions PSG are interested in signing the midfielder in order to help them challenge on the European stage. While Kante has said that he enjoys living in London, he also openly admitted that it is Paris where he feels most at home:
“[My friends and family] come over often from Paris,” said Kante.
“When they visit they want to see the tourist sites in London. It’s a good city, a big city. There are lots of things to do.
“For me London will always be different because Paris is home, I was born there, I’m from there, I can speak French there.
“But they are both great capitals where you can find everything you need.”
