Juventus will be aiming to make it two Serie A victories in a row when they visit Genoa on Wednesday for their next league fixture.
Juventus have found it difficult to maintain steady form domestically while also managing a packed schedule. Luciano Spalletti’s side have recorded two victories, two draws, and one defeat across their previous five matches in all competitions. Following a surprising 3-0 home loss to Lazio and a 2-2 draw in Europe against Rennes, the Bianconeri regained some confidence with a 2-0 win over Lecce. However, they now have to combine tactical flexibility with a growing list of injured players.
Juventus team news
Juventus are dealing with a serious injury problem before their Serie A meeting with Genoa. Coach Luciano Spalletti has a large number of important players unavailable, with nine key members of the first-team squad currently out.
Zeki Çelik and Nico González are the newest names on the injury list, both suffering minor muscle injuries during their recent European match.
They join longer-term absentees Kenan Yıldız, who is recovering from a broken foot, and goalkeeper Kamil Grabara, who is still sidelined after tearing his cruciate ligament.
In midfield, crucial players Manuel Locatelli and Khéphren Thuram are also completely unavailable because they are recovering from knee surgery. Up front, the lack of Jeff Ekhator and Francisco Conceição leaves Spalletti with very limited attacking options and reduces his ability to rotate the squad.
As a result, he may have to reshape his system and rely on a temporary strike partnership of Nick Woltemade and Randal Kolo Muani to lead Juventus’s weakened attack.
Juventus predicted lineup
Possible Juventus starting XI: Vicario; Gatti, Bremer, Lucumi; Kalulu, McKennie, Luiz, Sarr, Cambiaso; Kolo Muani, Woltemade
When will the match kick off?
The match will kick off at 7:45pm BST on Wednesday, 28th October.
