Juventus have proposed a potential swap-deal to Chelsea that would see Dusan Vlahovic move to the Premier League in exchange for Romelu Lukaku and €25m (£21.4m).
Chelsea are understood to be interested in a deal to sign Vlahovic, who could be available after Juventus withdrew from European competition for the 2023/24 campaign as a result of financial fair play issues.
Juventus missed out on Champions League qualification last season after a 10-point deduction in Serie A for false accounting, but still secured Europa Conference League football.
However, the club’s financial issues have now seen the Turin side withdraw from next season’s competition and could lead to sales, with Vlahovic among those who could depart.
Italian outlet Corriere della Sera have reported that Chelsea have seen an opening offer of £51.5m turned down for the Serbian striker, who Juventus value at £77m.
Lukaku has now emerged as a potential makeweight to close the gap in valuation with Corriere dello Sport claiming Juventus have informed Chelsea that a deal can be agreed for €25m (£21.4m) and Lukaku in part-exchange.
Lukaku spent last season on loan at Inter Milan and is understood to be keen on returning to the San Siro, but Juventus are ready to challenge their domestic rivals for the Belgian’s signing.
