Juventus have cast doubt on a move for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho despite previous talks.

The Italian side held discussions over a potential deal to sign Sancho earlier in the summer transfer window.

Sancho is free to leave Manchester United following his return from a loan spell at Chelsea. A permanent move to the West Londoners fell through after a failure to reach an agreement on personal terms.

Juventus had expressed interest in signing Sancho, who is valued at around €25m (£21.6m).

However, the club’s general manager Damien Comolli has suggested a move for Sancho is unlikely without departures.

He insisted the club are content with their current wide players, following the permanent signing of Francisco Conceição from Porto.

Comolli said a deal could be revisited in Juventus have exits, with Nico Gonzalez linked with a potential departure.

“We have two of the best wingers in the world like (Kenan) Yildiz and (Francisco) Conceição, plus Nico (Gonzalez) who’s an excellent player,” Comolli said, as per Fabrizio Romano.

“If someone leaves, we will be ready on the market.”

Borussia Dortmund are understood to be among the clubs considering Sancho. The 25-year-old has had two successful previous stints with the German side.

Any deal would require Sancho to take a significant salary cut to return to the Bundesliga.
