What contract did Real Madrid give Jude Bellingham?

Jude Bellingham is now officially a Real Madrid player. Real Madrid’s new signing will not be one of the best paid players Los Blancos.

The deal agreed with Borussia Dortmund will see Real Madrid pay an initial €103 million (£88.5m/$110.3m), though the transfer fee could rise by a further €30m (£26m/$32m) if certain targets are met.

The Spanish reports claims that Jude Bellingham signed a six-year deal with Real Madrid, containing a release clause of €1 billion and he will receive a high salary.

The reports also claims Jude Bellingham will receive a salary that would make him the Real Madrid’s second-highest earner behind Eden Hazard.

The term are yet to be finalised, but Bellingham is likely to be handed a deal worth slightly less than Eden Hazard.

Bellingham is one of the brightest talents in Europe and has been outstanding in his position in Europe’s major leagues. The young midfielder was named the Bundesliga’s Player of the Season after an outstanding 2022/23 campaign.

The England international managed 8 goals and four assists in 31 appearances in the domestic for Dortmund this season. Overall he bagged 14 goals and seven assists.

Bellingham made his debut for England in 2020 and since then he managed 24 appearances for the Three Lions scoring one goal and registering two assists.

Why Real Madrid signed Jude Bellingham?

The Galacticos are undergoing a transition in the midfield area as both Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are expected to leave the club next summer whereas Casemiro joined Manchester United last summer.

The club signed Eduardo Camavinga and Aurélien Tchouaméni over the last two summers in their pursuit of shaping the midfield for the next decade. Bellingham will form part of an exciting midfield crop in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. He is just 19 and has room to get even better, Real Madrid’s midfield looks robust to dominate for the seasons to come.
