Jose Mourinho to make sensational raid on Manchester City?

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is today being linked with making a sensational move for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

The Sun on Sunday claims that the Manchester United manager will make a move for their rivals main striker in what would be a phenomenal £55million.

Aguero has fallen down the pecking order under a Pep Guardiola and is now the Citizens second choice striker behind Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Jesus, who only moved to the club in January.

Aguero has a wonderful goalscoring record at City, scoring 120 goals in just 178 matches since he moved from Atletico Madrid back in 2011. However, despite his expert eye for goal, Aguero also has a fairly lengthy and substantial injury record too.

Zlatan out

With Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic likely not to play for Manchester United again following his knee injury sustained last month, Jose Mourinho is in need of reinforcements.

The Portuguese is reportedly preparing to test Manchester City’s will in keeping the Argentine by meeting the £55million asking price after giving up hope of Ibrahimovic playing at he highest level. Manchester United are also reported to have agreed personal terms with Antoine Griezmann who would be signing for £89million.

The last player to cross the great Manchester divide was Carlos Tevez, who controversially moved to Manchester City in 2009 after spending two years on loan at Manchester United from West Ham.
