Jorginho’s agent has suggested the Chelsea midfielder could leave the club this summer, and has refused to rule out a potential reunion with Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.
The Italy international has overcome a difficult start to his career in English football to emerge as a key figure in Frank Lampard’s side so far this season, starring as a deep-lying playmaker as Chelsea have moved into contention for a top four finish and into the knock-out stages of the Champions League.
Despite his improved fortunes at Stamford Bridge, however, the player’s agent, Joao Santos, has fuelled speculation of a move away for his client and believes the 28-year-old is likely to receive some ‘important proposals’ after playing in the European Championships with Italy this summer.
“His goal is the Europeans with the national team,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
“There are many expectations around Mancini’s team. The European Championship is also a good showcase.
“Even personally, he is doing very well at Chelsea, and I am sure that some important proposals will come because in his role there are not many high-level players like him around.”
Santos added that Serie A champions Juventus could be a potential destination for Jorginho this summer, where he would link up for a third time with former Napoli and Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri.
When asked whether a reunion with Sarri could be possible this summer, Santos said: “Why not?
“I am sure that some important proposals will come, which we would obviously evaluate together with Chelsea.”
