Slavisa Jokanovic was searching for the positives after Fulham suffered their ninth loss of the season.

The Fulham boss witnessed his side lose 2-0 to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, but wanted to avoid the negatives following their sixth Premier League loss in a row.

The Cottagers held on for most of the first half, falling behind five minutes before the break courtesy of Mohamed Salah.

“My team played a decent game against a good and complicated team,” Jokanovic said to the press in his post-match press conference.

“At the end we leave with some positives. It’s a half step forwards for us,” he added.

The Egyptian slotted home just seconds after Aleksander Mitrovic had a goal ruled out for offside, a contentious decision that had a big bearing on the game.

“The damage is done. I don’t want to say Liverpool didn’t deserve to win the game,” Jokanovic said in reaction to the incident.

“We did not defend well against the counter-attack but it shouldn’t have happened. It is an absurd situation.”

Fulham currently sit bottom of the division with the leakiest defense, having conceded 31 times in 12 games with just one league win so far.
