Liverpool owner, John W Henry, has confirmed that the club is not being sold.
Back in November, Fenway Sports Group announced that ‘under the right conditions’ they would ‘consider new shareholders’, a statement widely interpreted as the club being put up for sale.

15 days later, Manchester United’s hugely controversial owners, the Glazer family, followed suit by announcing that they were also seeking ‘strategic alternatives,’ up to and including a full sale of the club.
It was thought that the £2.5 billion takeover of Chelsea earlier last year was the driving factor behind owners putting the clubs up for sale, with the failed European Super League project perhaps meaning that valuations had reached their peak.
While Manchester United have been at the subject of at least two confirmed bids for full takeovers, Liverpool owner John W Henry has insisted that FSG are not in talks over a full sale, though said he believes there will be additional investment coming into the Anfield outfit.
“I know there has been a lot of conversation and quotes about LFC (Liverpool Football Club), but I keep to the facts: we merely formalized an ongoing process,” he said, as per the Liverpool Echo.
“Will we be in England forever? No. Are we selling LFC? No. Are talking with investors about LFC? Yes. Will something happen there? I believe so, but it won’t be a sale. Have we sold anything in the past 20+ years?”
