Jermaine Jenas reckons his former side, Tottenham Hotspur, are better than their North London rivals, Arsenal.
The duo renew hostilities this evening after being drawn against each other in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, with the question of ‘Who is the best side in North London’ being raised once again.
Traditionally, the answer to that would be Arsenal, with the Gunners 13 league titles dwarfing the two won by their rivals.
However, in recent years, there has been somewhat of a power shift, with Spurs consistently performing better than the Gunners, and they once again sit ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League at the moment.
As they prepare to meet at the Emirates this evening, former Spurs midfielder Jenas reckons that Mauricio Pochettino’s side are the better team, saying that Unai Emery’s outfit have shown themselves to be a ‘bit shaky’:
“There’s a famous saying in football – the league never lies,” Jenas told Playmaker FC.
“Right now the league is telling a story.
“And the story is Tottenham are a better side than Arsenal.
“Arsenal fans need to remember the start of the season, Unai Emery was a bit wobbly, bit shaky, he was all over the place.”
