Former Premier League midfielder Jermaine Jenas has hailed the budding partnership between Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain, saying that it is almost telepathic.
Hazard and January signing Higuain combined well throughout and both players bagged a brace, as Maurizio Sarri’s side moved back into the top four.
Jenas reckons having two players of the quality of Hazard and Higuain linking up together is a real positive for Chelsea going forward.
“Eden Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain are two world-class players and when they get on that wavelength with each other, great things can happen,” Jenas told BBC’s MOTD.
“It was very telepathic at times between the two of them. Higuain likes to drop deep at times and Hazard likes to run with it.
“Higuain came alive inside the area for the first goal but he linked up everything really well. If Maurizio Sarri can get a tune out of him that will be great.
“Hazard was ruthless and his finish for the second goal makes it look simple.”
