Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi has said that he feeling more confident under the management of Unai Emery, which is helping him to put in improved performances.
The Nigerian international made his breakthrough at Arsenal back in 2015, making 107 appearances so far for the Gunners, scoring 10 goals.
However, after some shaky performances during the early days of his Gunners career, he thinks that new manager Unai Emery is giving him more confidence, as well as giving him freedom to express himself on the pitch.
“For me, he has just given me confidence to express myself,” he told reporters after Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Leicester City.
“To believe in my ability which I have been trying to show and basically also in training he is always letting me try new things, be positive, be direct and prove it in the game. It is working for me so I just have to keep it going.
“I’d just say I am more confident. I feel that even if I make a mistake I am able to go again. I think that is the difference between me last year and this year.”
