Arsenal attacker Alex Iwobi has said that he and his teammates are playing without fear under new boss Unai Emery.
The Gunners are currently English football’s form side having won nine consecutive games in all competitions with their 5-1 hammering of Fulham in the Premier League yesterday seeing the North London club enter the top four for the first time in 2018.
During yesterday’s romp in West London, Arsenal played some breathtaking attacking football and speaking after the game, Iwobi revealed that the Gunners squad is currently brimming with confidence:
“The team spirit is better. The confidence is definitely better. We analyse the games a bit more and we’re proving to the fans as well as ourselves that we’re able to compete for the title,” he told arsenal.com.
“The manager has given me a lot of confidence, telling me that when I get the ball to just be positive. Whenever I am called upon to play, I always try to give my best and make sure that I can impose myself on the game.
“We’re not afraid to play anyone. We’re playing without fear, we want to be consistent and keep it going.
“But there’s a long way to go. It’s a marathon, so we just have to carry on being consistent.”
