Ipswich Town host Fulham at Portman Road on Saturday seeking a third win of the season against opponents yet to win one.

Gary O’Neil’s side are 11th on six points, while Fulham are 19th on two. Ipswich are unbeaten in their four Premier League meetings with Fulham, with one win and three draws.

Ipswich Town team news

Abdul Fatawu is suspended for one match after his red card, for two bookable offences, in the 1-0 defeat at Everton. Jack Taylor (knee) will have his injury assessed after a spell out. Fatawu’s absence leaves a vacancy on the right of attack, with Daizen Maeda and Jaden Philogene-Bidace both strong contenders to fill it.

Only Fatawu and Taylor are expected to miss out. Zian Flemming is pushing to start his first game for the club, but Emersonn remains O’Neil’s first-choice centre-forward for now, with Jack Clarke and Julio Enciso also expected to keep their places. Exequiel Palacios and Sasa Lukic are set to continue in central midfield, keeping Marcelino Nunez and Florentino Luis among the substitutes.

Issa Diop, who joined Ipswich from Fulham this summer, is set to face his former club alongside Dara O’Shea, with Leif Davis and Abdoul Ouattara at full-back. Christian Walton is expected to start in goal, with Kjell Scherpen, who was dropped for the Everton game, hoping to regain his place.
