Ipswich Town host Arsenal in the Carabao Cup third round on Tuesday, with Gary O’Neil’s side looking to cause an upset against the reigning Premier League champions under the Portman Road lights.

Jack Taylor (knee) and Azor Matusiwa (thigh) remain the club’s only absentees, though neither has featured for the club so far this season. Emersonn came off with quad tightness in Saturday’s win over Crystal Palace, but O’Neil said the striker would likely have been given the night off regardless.
With no fresh fitness concerns elsewhere, O’Neil has a fully available squad to choose from, and admitted leaving out the likes of Darnell Furlong and Anis Mehmeti from recent matchday squads has been one of the toughest parts of the job. Zian Flemming, eligible for Ipswich despite representing Burnley in the competition’s earlier rounds, is set to lead the line, while Chuba Akpom, a product of Arsenal’s academy, could face his former club for the first time.
