Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is wanted by Italian giants Inter Milan as they look to hire their next manager.
The Serie A club are without a permanent manager after sacking Stefani Pioli this week following a difficult League campaign, with the Nerazzurri currently sitting in seventh place.
Stefano Vecchi has been placed in temporary charge of the club, but the Chinese owners are prepared to spend big to get a top manager in at the San Siro.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is their preferred choice, but he is unlikely to leave Stamford Bridge after just one season.
Attentions turning to Pochettino?
If the Italians can’t lure Conte back to his homeland, they will move in to try Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino. Football Italia claim that Inter Milan will offer the Argentinian €10million-a-year, double what he currently earns at Spurs.
Pochettino has had a fantastic spell at Spurs, and despite being the best team in the League over the last two seasons, he has been unable to add to their trophy collection. He could be keen to try to help restore Inter Milan to the pinnacle of Italian & European football.
If Pochettino I was indeed to leave Tottenham, the article claims that they would turn to Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe, who has done a phenomenal job to get the Cherries to the Premier League, and maintain their top flight status into a third year.
Meanwhile, Transfer Market Web claim that Inter will move for current Barcelona boss Luis Enrique, who has already announced he is leaving the Nou Camp this summer.
Will Pochettino be tempted by Inter Milan’s riches? Will he stay at Tottenham beyond this summer? Would Eddie Howe be a suitable replacement? Leave us your thoughts below.
