Injury blow for Arsenal ahead of Man Utd clash

Arsenal have been dealt a huge injury blow ahead of this weekends clash with Manchester United.

The Gunners cruised to a 5-0 win over Huddersfield at the Emirates on Wednesday night, but the night was soured as club record signing Alexandre Lacazette picked up an injury during the game.

The Frenchman opened the scoring after just three minutes, but was replaced by his fellow compatriot Olivier Giroud at half time, who went on to score two goals for himself.

However, speaking after the game, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Lacazette had picked up a groin injury, and could be out of action for some time.

He said:

“He’s definitely out for [Manchester United] this weekend.

“It looked like a groin injury. He could be out for a while.”

Lacazette has scored seven goals since his £46.5m arrival at the Emirates from Ligue 1 club Lyon.
