Ince: ‘Mourinho’s time is running out’

Paul Ince has said that time is running out for Jose Mourinho at Manchester United following the club’s abysmal start to the Premier League campaign.

Manchester United‘s start to the 2018/19 season has been nothing short of attrocious, failing to win in their last four outings, in a run which is their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign.

With Newcastle United visiting Old Trafford on Saturday evening, former Liverpool and Man Utd midfielder Paul Ince thinks that the failure to beat the Magpies could signal the end of Mourinho’s tenure as United manager.

“Mourinho’s time is running out,” Ince told Paddy Power. “United are no better off than they were before him. If they don’t get a result against Newcastle this weekend, Jose Mourinho is in real danger.

“He won’t walk because that’s not in his character. I hate the thought of Jose being sacked, but if you are not picking up results and there is this black cloud hanging around Old Trafford, your time as manager is running out.

“If they lose on Saturday evening, particularly if it’s a bad loss, there will be a decision made on his future very quickly.

“The signs are not looking good for him.”
