Bordeaux’s highly rated attacker Malcom would rather move to Italy rather than England his agent has confirmed.
The 21-year-old Brazilian winger won rave reviews for his performances Ligue 1 last season, with his skill and devastating long range shooting making him one of the most sought after young talents in European football.
He was heavily linked with Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs during the January transfer window, and new Everton boss Marco Silva has reportedly made him one of his main targets this summer.
However, Malcom’s agent has now confirmed that his client has his heart set on a move to Serie A side Roma.
“The player would like to come to Italy and Roma are very interested. In the next few hours, I will have a word with Monchi (Roma’s director of football).” His agent Fernando Garcia told Italian radio station Tele Radio Stereo.
Inter Milan have also been linked with having an interest, although Everton were said to be in ‘advanced negotiations’ with the Brazilian.
