Hull City visit Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon, with nine points from six games and an unbeaten home record in their first season back in the Premier League.
Sergej Jakirovic’s side drew 2-2 at home to Everton last time out, coming from behind, and have conceded exactly two goals in each of their last three league games after three clean sheets to start the season. They rank first in the league for the proportion of passes played long, but 20th for possession. Hull have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five league visits to Craven Cottage, their last win there coming in a 3-0 Championship victory in November 2019.
Hull City team news
Nobel Mendy (groin) is out for two weeks, Jakirovic confirmed, while Mohamed-Ali Cho (thigh) and Lucas Gourna-Douath (calf) are also unavailable but could return next week. Matt Targett (ankle) is ruled out for two months without needing surgery, joining Eliot Matazo (ACL), Ilyas Ansah (back), Darko Gyabi (groin), Jack Butland (arm) and Charlie Hughes (groin) in the treatment room. Nine players are missing in all.
Lucas Herrington, 19, is poised to start in the back three alongside John Egan and Semi Ajayi, with Lewie Coyle and Ryan Giles as wing-backs. Matt Crooks and Regan Slater have been the first-choice midfield pair, though Jakirovic may replace Crooks with Tim Iroegbunam. Mohamed Belloumi, who has three goals and two assists in six league games, has been dealing with fatigue but should start after equalising as a substitute against Everton. Either Joe Gelhardt or Sorba Thomas could make way, and Oli McBurnie is expected to lead the line.
