West Ham United have suffered a massive blow as the extent of Andre Ayews injury has been revealed.
Ayew moved to the Hammers in a club record £20.5million deal from Swansea City just last week, and made his debut during Monday nights opening Premier League fixture against Chelsea.
However the striker limped off just 35 minutes into his debut after suffering a thigh injury, an injury that is set to keep him out for up to FOUR MONTHS after it requires surgery.
The news was revealed by Jack Sullivan, the son of joint club chairman David Sullivan who often reveals a lot of the clubs news via his Twitter account. He tweeted:
We are devastated that Ayew will be out for about 4 month. He needs a surgery
