The Premier League is back, and aren’t we all happy about that. Well, listening to the boo’s echoing around the Emirates yesterday then maybe we aren’t all happy.
However, here is something to be cheery about for Arsenal fans this morning as Alexandre Lacazette has given the Gunners hope in the race for his signature.
Whilst Arsenal suffered a disappointing defeat on the opening day of the season, Lacazette got his campaign off to a flier in France as he netted an opening day hat-trick as Lyon beat Nancy 3-0 in Ligue 1.
However, the French striker refused to rule out a transfer this summer, giving Arsenal a well needed boost.
He told Canal+
If offers come in that one cannot refuse, I don’t want to refuse them.
If not, I am happy at Lyon.
Arsenal have already had a £29.3million bid rejected by Lyon who want in excess of £40million for their prized asset this summer.
Arsenal started yesterday’s defeat to Liverpool with Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez as a main striker, whilst Olivier Giroud continues his recovery from Euro 2016 whilst Danny Welbeck suffered a long term injury last season.
