Carlo Cudicini was full of praise for Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi following his impressive performance in today’s FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest.
The 18-year-old was excellent for Chelsea this afternoon, providing two assists for Alvaro Morata, who scored his first goals since late November to see the Blues through to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Speaking after the game, Chelsea coach Carlo Cudicini was impressed with the English youngster’s display, saying he will be in contention for more regular game time at Stamford Bridge.
“He did very well, he had a very good performance. As we said a 360 performance,” Cudicini told reporters in the post-match press conference.
“He did very well, with two assists and worked very hard defensively. Even when we had a few problems in midfield with Ampadu, he was running for two, his commitment was great.
“You want him to have performances like that to put doubts in Maurizio’s mind and be in contention for a place.”
Hudson-Odoi has been the subject of transfer speculation this week, with Bayern Munich thought to have tabled a £30 million bid for the talented teenager.
