Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi could be set for an early return from injury.
The 18-year-old is recovering from surgery having ruptured his Achilles, with the initial prognosis suggesting the England international could miss up to seven months.
Hudson-Odoi’s recovery is believed to be going well and hopes have been raised that the winger can make his return in just four to five months.
That news will be a welcome boost to Bayern Munich, with the German giants believed to be ready to revive their interest in signing the youngster this summer.
Bayern had several bids for the talented teenager rejected in January, the latest being in the region of £35m, but are monitoring Hudson-Odoi’s progress as they plot a fresh move.
According to The Sun Hudson-Odoi is keen to move to the Bundesliga, with an early return from injury increasing the likelihood of a move to the five-times Champions League winners.
Hudson-Odoi has just one year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge, having refused to sign an extension as he seeks assurances over his playing time, and can speak with other clubs regarding a move when he enters the final six months of his deal.
