Eddie Howe has discussed the future of Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Fraser after the recent speculation linking him with Arsenal.
The Scotland international has registered a hugely impressive six goals and 10 assists in his 33 Premier League appearances for the Cherries this season, form which has seen him linked with a move to the Emirates.
While Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is, of course, keen for the 25-year-old to stay at the Vitality stadium, he couldn’t provide assurances that he will still be at the South Coast club next season.
“We have spoken to Ryan and his representatives about his contract,” Howe told the press after his sides 3-1 home defeat to Burnley on Saturday.
”It’s one where we will see what happens.
“There is no doubting Ryan’s quality and how highly we think of him. He is an outstanding talent but it is a two-way prospect to sign a contract, so let’s wait and see.
“Ryan has contributed to the team this season but it’s not the time to talk about speculation.
“Who knows in the summer? It’s that time of year when things change and us ourselves will be looking to sign players.”
Fraser’s current contract is set to expire in June 2020.
