Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is confident he can keep in demand striker Callum Wilson at the club.
Wilson has shone during Bournemouth’s impressive start to the season, scoring eight league goals so far, and has been linked with a ยฃ30m January move to Chelsea.
Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is reportedly keen on a move for the former Coventry City striker, who scored on his full England debut against the USA earlier this year, but Howe insists Bournemouth will not sell the 26-year-old in the coming transfer window.
“Yes, we are (confident),โ Howe told a press conference on Friday.
“At this stage we are just focusing on the matches, we have got so many games to come around the Christmas period, I am sure Callum is the same, he is focusing on his football.
“We are certainly not anticipating losing players in January that we don’t want to.”
Wilson missed last weekend’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool through injury but will be hoping to return to the side when Bournemouth face Wolves on Saturday.
