Hodgson: I don’t see any weaknesses in Emery’s Arsenal

Roy Hodgson has credited Unai Emery with creating a near perfect Arsenal team ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace this Sunday.

The Gunners are one of the in-form teams in the Premier League right now, and the Eagles boss believes that there are no obvious weak points that he can exploit at the weekend.

Arsenal have now won 11 games in-a-row in all competitions and Hodgson knows his side will have to be on top form to take anything from the game.

“Arsenal are playing extremely well,’’ Hodgson said at his pre-match press conference.

“I don’t see any particular weaknesses, so we must make sure we work hard to minimise their opportunities.

“There are no secrets, it’s about what we do on the field.”

Conversely Palace haven’t won in the league since mid-September and have actually lost their last three games on the trot.

Hodgson’s side impressed many with an 11th-place finish last season, however things look very different for them this time around.

The former England boss knows his team has to turn things around soon or they risk being dragged into a relegation battle in the second half of the season.

Hodgson will be looking to the likes of star man Wilfried Zaha to get back among the goals against Arsenal. At the back, the error-prone Mamadou Sakho will also need to be on top of his game to prevent a fluid, free-flowing Arsenal attacking unit from running riot at Selhurst Park.
