Roy Hodgson says that Crystal Palace are aiming to finish in the top ten of the Premier League this season.
The former England boss also said he feels that pressure is part and parcel of life as a professional in English football, for players and managers alike.
“We are always under pressure every match. No more pressure than the game before, that is part and parcel of our lives as managers and players. We know what a good result can mean for us.’’ Hodgson told the press ahead of his sides clash with Watford this weekend.
Hodgson is looking to improve on The Eagles’ 11th-place finish last season by breaking into the top half of the table by May.
“We look above us as well, as we believe a top ten finish is achievable for us. It is certainly a goal.” Hodgson added.
Palace are currently 14th in the Premier League and will be looking to close the gap on those above them by beating Watford at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
