Roy Hodgson has revealed that Crystal Palace’s loan signing Michy Batshuayi could feature for The Eagles against Fulham at Selhurst Park this weekend.
The Belgian international striker is still owned by Chelsea but arrived at Selhurst Park on loan on deadline day, after a failed spell with Valencia in La Liga earlier this season.
“I will see him this afternoon and speak with him,โ Hodgson told his pre-match press conference,
“He was fit enough for Valencia so there’s no reason not to play for us. But I need to speak to him to find out how he feels and make a decision.โ
Hodgson also gave a fitness update regarding Palace’s centre-back James Tomkins.
“James Tomkins trained this morning and we don’t think there will be any problems there. The training was quite light though so we need to check him tomorrow.”
Palace are currently 15th in the Premier League, six points ahead of Claudio Ranieri’s Fulham.
However, The Cottagers will have their tails up after their brilliant 4-2 victory over Brighton during the week when they came from two goals down to snatch all three points.
