Arsenal legend Henry reveals the moment he realised Messi was ‘not normal.’

Thierry Henry has opened up about his favourite Lionel Messi goal and how it made him realise the Barcelona superstar wasn’t normal.

Former France international Henry knows a thing or two about scoring superb solo goals having scored a plethora of them for Arsenal on his way to becoming the Gunners all time leading goal scorer.

After leaving the Emirates in 2007 Henry and a young Messi spent three trophy-laden seasons together with Barcelona.

Speaking to a new film called ‘Take The Ball, Pass The Ball,’ Henry was asked which one of Messi’s goals stands out for him the most, to which he replied:

‘The best goal I’ve seen him score was against Malaga at home because that defied logic what he did,’

‘First player goes, second player is just behind. He takes another step, that player can clear the ball.

‘If he’s got the ball on his left foot here, how do you go back with that same leg and touch the ball in the air, in between the two to make sure that guy doesn’t touch it – and then almost fail but smash it into the top corner. That’s not normal.’
