Hazard warns rivals that Chelsea haven’t given up on finishing in top four

Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard was back to his brilliant best yesterday as his side defeated Southampton 2-0 at Wembley to set up a mouthwatering FA Cup final against Manchester United.

Speaking after the game the Belgium international fired a warning shot to Premier League rivals Liverpool and Spurs by stating that him and his team-mates have not given up hope fo finishing in the top four and qualifying for next seasons Champions League.

“We are still hoping that we can finish in the top four. It’s going to be difficult but sometimes a difficult challenge can be good.” Hazard said.

“We are going to give everything and we are hoping that the others will drop points. We have reached the final but now we are going to focus on the Premier League first.”
Chelsea’s victory over the Saints yesterday was their third on the bounce and although it seems that Antonio Conte’s side are finally hitting a decent run of form, the biggest problem they have in the quest for the top four is that they remain reliant on other teams slipping up to give them a chance of reaching their goal.
The Blues have four games left to play this season and currently sit five points behind fourth placed Spurs. They are also eight points behind third placed Liverpool although they have a game in hand on Jurgen Klopp’s men, and both teams will face off at Stamford Bridge in a couple of weeks.
