Eden Hazard is waiting for Real Madrid to make a move for his signature according to Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur.
The former Lille winger has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu for a number of transfer windows, although the 13-time European champions have never firmed up their interest.
Chelsea are desperate to keep the 28-year-old at Stamford Bridge and have made a number of contract offers, with some reports suggesting they are willing to make their No.10 the highest paid player in the division.
However, Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur has revealed that Hazard is stalling on committing his future to the club because he is waiting to see if Los Blancos make their move for him, a move he has previously described as a ‘dream’.
“He has rejected two contract offers so far and says that he doesn’t want to sign right now. That means he is waiting for something and that something means just one thing, Real Madrid,” Terreur told the Transfer Talk Podcast.
“Real Madrid are still interested as far as I know, but they are still yet to make their move. They don’t have a personal agreement with him at this point, they don’t have an agreement with Chelsea and they haven’t even made the phone call like they did last summer.”
Hazard, who has scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in the Premier League this season, has previously confirmed that he will not leave the club in the current January transfer window but has given no such assurances about staying beyond next summer.
